Sports Field Solutions is looking for a qualified and talented candidate with experience in maintaining high profile natural grass playing surfaces that exceed the standards of both the collegiate and professional levels. Individual must be positive thinking, service minded, and motivated with a strong work ethic and uncompromising attention to detail.
Job Description:
Responsible for all aspects of sports field maintenance on high profile natural grass athletic fields.
Performs skilled and advanced maintenance duties in the following areas: turf management, chemical spray application, pest identification, irrigation, and equipment operation.
Utilize site specific IPM and custom fertilization and agronomic programs.
Operate and maintain specific sports turf equipment; reel mowers, top dressers, sand pros tractors, and spreaders.
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and repair.
Coordinate and maintain a standard of quality customer service. Handle concerns effectively and positively. Problem solve and overcome barriers to provide superior customer service
Perform additional duties at various other facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Applicants with turf management degrees are preferred as well as those with previous baseball/softball field maintenance experience
Must have high attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and like working in a team environment
Must be able to multitask and perform jobs in a timely manner.
Work long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Must possess and maintain a current, valid Texas driver’s license.
